Visiting Giant's Castle Valley: my favorite of the Drakensbergs

Giant's Castle Valley is a sumptuous South African national park nestled in the hollow of the Drakensbergs. The valley is one of the most beautiful stops of this mountain range and deserves to stop there. Remember to take your hiking shoes to take full advantage of this awe-inspiring site.

If you are coming from Underberg after visiting the Sani Pass, you only have a 2 hour drive to reach the valley of Giant's Castle Valley. Once there, you can do one of the many walks which are proposed: there is something for all ages and all levels.

Consulting : if you leave early enough, you don't have to pack a picnic. We only had snacks to be lighter and ate on the terrace at Giant's Castle Resort on the way back. On the other hand, don't forget to take water and a windbreaker for the summit because it can be windy at the top of the Drakensbergs.
