Top 3 hotels near Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Swaziland

Swaziland, renamed Eswatini, crosses from North to South. You will discover on this main axis many varied landscapes which make it a beautiful wild road trip. In its center, the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary is a landmark stop not to be missed. This safari can be discovered by mountain bike, on foot or simply by Land Rover. But the most pleasant is the tour of the horse reserve. In the evening, you can go and relax at the thermal center of the Royal Swazi Spa near the park. If you still have time, we also recommend the magnificent 2 hour hike to Execution Rock. To find accommodation in Swaziland, it is best to be closest to Mlilwane. There are not many quality establishments in the region but we certainly recommend the three below best hotels near Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in Swaziland (or Eswatini).

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary: the best Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary hotel in Swaziland or Eswatini

The best hotel (from afar) is the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary himself! You can sleep directly in the reserve! In terms of location, you can't get any closer… You can get up and get into the jeep directly if you take the sunrise exit in the park. The setting is very beautiful and gazelles and warthogs come right up to your room. This lodge is in total harmony with its environment. You have the choice of sleeping in a traditional Swazi hut (now Eswatini) or a cottage (for families). The hut is very nice and it's a unique experience. The interior is basic but still clean and comfortable. No complaints about the service either. As for the price, it's really cheap.

most : the hotel has a water point near the restaurant where the wild animals drink in the evening.

Mountain Inn: the best hotel in Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in Swaziland or Eswatini

Aside from Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the only hotels close to the reserve is the Mountain Inn. If the safari park chalets are full, this is your best alternative. It is in the same price range as the traditional huts and it is very close to the park. The complex is nothing special but everything is well maintained: the lawn, the swimming pool, the rooms… It is a good place to sleep in Swaziland (now Eswatini).

Mantenga Lodge: the hotel with the best value for money of Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in Swaziland or Eswatini

Mantenga Lodge is the third and final option for sleeping around Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary (the rest is really bad). It is also the hotel with the best value for money in Swaziland (now Eswatini). The price difference is not huge with the reserve lodge, so we recommend the traditional huts first. This lodge is often full thanks to its magnificent setting. It offers a beautiful panoramic view of Execution Rock from the restaurant terrace. Moreover, their cuisine is delicious. We recommend that you eat there (the chef arrives with a pan on fire to serve you!). We also liked the monkeys who come to keep you company for breakfast. Their chalets have a superb view of the surrounding nature and are well appointed. Also, the pool was under construction when we were there but the photos on the internet show that they did a great job. If they have room, you won't regret it.

Our tips for a successful trip:

  • Book your flight in advance to take advantage of the best prices

Airline ticket prices are cheaper when booked 6 to 3 months in advance. To be sure of getting the best price, we recommend using a flight comparator such as Skyscanner.

  • Book your accommodation before departure to have access to the best offers

You will always find a room at the last minute, but the best located accommodations are necessarily those that are always full. That's why it's best to book your accommodations as soon as possible. We recommend going through Agoda which offers the best prices. In addition, this site allows you to be easily reimbursed in the event of cancellation.

  • Skip the line to visit the most popular attractions

By booking your excursions in advance on Civitatis, you do not queue on site to get your tickets. Less time waiting = more time enjoying your vacation! Plus, their guided tours ensure you have a knowledgeable guide who speaks your language.

  • Use a comparator to find a rental car at the lowest price

Save yourself hours of research with rentalcar.com ou discovercars.com. These comparators are the best for finding rental cars at the lowest prices.

  • Don't leave without travel insurance

For us, it is unimaginable to leave without travel insurance. We recommend the one proposed by AXIS. This is the best guaranteed way to leave with peace of mind. However, consider taking out additional specialized insurance for activities not covered (such as skiing or scuba diving).
